Inishmore (Inis-Mor) visit via Rossaveal. Aug 29th 2010.
Some of our mainland based subscribers took a day trip to Inishmore on Sunday. They were blessed with some wonderful late August sunshine.

Just got to tell you that the fresh crab claws at Joe Watty’s in Kilronan are fantastic and highly recommended. Do bear in mind that fresh claws can be a little work, so don’t plan on rushing your lunch, but on the Aran Islands why would you be in a hurry anyway.
The new ferry docks in Rossaveal were built to the wrong design it would seem, and are of no use to the ferry operators.
Work continues on the new harbour facilities at Kilronan.
Great season on the Islands by all accounts and plenty happy visitors there yesterday.
