Doolin Ferry Wars.

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

It seems that tensions have reached the courts again in the Doolin Ferry war that saw ferry operators Bill and Kevin O’Brien jailed for breaches of a circuit court order.
In the circuit court at Ennis yesterday Councel for Aran Islands Fast Ferries claimed that the company had been “intimidated out of business”.

Councel for Doolin Ferries, Bill O’Brien, Kevin O’Brien and Pat Whyms totally rejected the claims. Aran Islands Fast Ferries are seeking to have Bill and Kevin O’Brien brought before the court to explain why they should not be jailed for their alleged contempt of the 2004 court order. The judge adjourned the case to July 20th

Interesting times ahead.
