We are pleased to see that a price war is in full swing at Doolin pier in Co.Clare. Visitors should haggle. There are now 4 offices on Doolin Pier , all with similar names. Aran2Doolin, Inishmor Direct, Doolin Ferries and Aran Island Fast Ferry. All offer trips to the Aran Islands or the Clliffs of Moher.

Intending travellers should avoid stopping on-line or at a ticket office situated before the pier as you will pay full price here. Continue on to the pier and do haggle. Whichever of the offices you visit first, do not accept the price , say you’ll shop around and I guarantee they will drop the price. Take your time and make an informed decision.

Inishmor Direct have an old steel ferry the “Dun Aengus”
